About me

Experience: Dynamic organisations and roles
My experience on (self-)organisation has been shaped by working in:

  • an award winning networked organisation (5 times Best Company by Manager Magazin, Germany) in financial services
  • a systems thinking management consulting, and
  • startups

From client-facing, operational to strategy and organisational development work. When you start making the connections, the magic can happen.

Perspective: Interdisciplinary and international
I spend my time applying and learning from the best practitioners and reflective thinkers to get to this deep simplicity, one step at a time. Probably not your typical consultant, I studied  a mix of history, political science, sociology, psychology, law, economics and philosophy in the Netherlands, Germany and France. Understanding people within their context – systems matter – and shows respect.

Person:
I grew up in The Hague, the Netherlands, 10 minutes away from the North Sea. After living and working almost 20 years in Germany and Switzerland, I combine the joy of the Mediterranean way of life in Barcelona with working mainly in Northern Europe in English, German and Dutch. Whilst improving my French and learning Spanish.

When I am not doing improvements with clients or at home (yes, I do this), I read lots, play tennis and enjoy nature while hiking regularly. Among others, Dilbert, Buster Keaton and the manwhohasitall make me laugh, as do friends. Humor helps to see life in all its astonishing variety.
